DATA HANDLING PRACTICES

How We Protect and Manage Your Data

bt32 applies a layered approach to data security — encryption in transit, restricted internal access and regular audits — so the information you share with us stays controlled and purposeful.

Data Encryption in Transit

All data exchanged between your device and bt32 servers travels over TLS encryption. This applies to account login, UPI deposit flows, chat sessions and any document uploads you make during verification.

Cookie Use and Controls

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand how pages perform. You can adjust cookie preferences in your browser at any time; essential session cookies cannot be disabled without affecting account access.

Account Security Measures

Your bt32 account is protected by password hashing and optional two-factor authentication. Suspicious login attempts from new devices trigger an email alert to the address on your account before access is granted.

Data Retention Periods

We keep account records for as long as your account is active and for a defined period afterwards as required by applicable law. Transaction records relating to UPI, Paytm and PhonePe payments are retained for the period required by financial regulations in the relevant jurisdiction.

Who Sees Your Data

Internal access to personal data is restricted to staff with a specific operational need — support agents, compliance officers and payment reconciliation teams. We do not grant broad access to marketing teams or third-party advertisers.

Requesting Changes to Your Data

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate records, or ask for deletion of your account data by contacting our privacy desk via email or the in-account form. Requests are handled within 30 days.

Your Privacy Questions, Clearly Answered

Below are the questions we receive most often about data rights, what we collect and how to get in touch. If your question is not covered here, reach out to our privacy desk directly.

We collect your name, email address, mobile number and date of birth at registration. If identity verification is required, we may also request a government-issued ID document. We collect only what is necessary to operate your account securely.

bt32 does not store your full UPI handle credentials or Paytm wallet passwords. Payment references and transaction IDs are recorded for reconciliation and dispute resolution purposes, but sensitive payment credentials remain with the payment processor.

Log into your account and use the Privacy Request form under Account Settings, or email our privacy desk directly. We will confirm receipt within 48 hours and provide your data export within 30 days of the verified request.

Yes. You can submit a deletion request via the in-account form or by emailing our privacy team. Some records may be retained for the period required by applicable law — we will clearly explain any such retention when responding to your request.

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties for marketing. We share data with payment processors like UPI and Paytm partners only to the extent needed to complete transactions, and with compliance bodies only where required by law.

We retain account and transaction records for the period required by applicable financial and regulatory law in the relevant jurisdiction. Once that period expires, data is securely deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be linked to you.

Start by contacting our privacy desk via email or live chat — most concerns are resolved within a few days. If you remain unsatisfied, you may escalate to the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction as permitted by local law.
